Dr. Charly Edwards is a board-eligible endodontist who most recently served as chair of the department of endodontics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. She completed advanced specialty training and earned her Master of Dental Science from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where she graduated as valedictorian of her dental school class.
With extensive experience in both nonsurgical and surgical endodontics, Dr. Edwards is recognized for her precision, patient-centered care, and dedication to advancing the field through education. She has served as clinic director for the UMMC Endodontics program, leading curriculum improvements to strengthen clinical training for dental students.
Her leadership and teaching excellence have been honored with multiple awards, including the Norman C. Nelson Order of Teaching Excellence and induction into the UMMC Academy for Excellence in Education.

Beyond her clinical and academic roles, she mentors aspiring dental specialists, engages in community outreach, and contributes to research and continuing education in endodontics. In her personal time, Dr. Edwards enjoys creative pursuits such as pottery and watercolor painting, as well as baking, gardening, and spending time with her toy poodle, Lily.

Her skill and calm demeanor made what could have been a stressful appointment feel easy and manageable.One thing that really stood out to me was the preference card they provide before treatment. Being asked about things like what type of drink I’d prefer, whether I wanted a pillow or blanket, and other comfort options made such a difference. It’s rare to feel that cared for in a dental setting, and it shows how much they value their patients’ experience.The work was exemplary, and the level of personal attention was above and beyond. I’m so grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend this office to anyone needing endodontic treatment.
Dr. Edwards was amazing and patient and kind. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, given how terrified I am of dental work! The whole staff was kind and made sure I was taken care of! Would def return and see Dr Edwards again if needed!
