I have been a patient of Dr Powell’s for quite a few years! He has performed a number of root canals! He ALWAYS insures the procedure is done in the most comfortable atmosphere possible, and as painless as humanly possible! I have seen many dentists in the military and civilian sector. Dr Powell is top notch in my book, and has made anesthetizing the gum an art! His injections are NEVER painful, and he always checks to insure enough medicine has been administered to prevent patient from feeling any of the dental work. And that’s a big deal, because I have felt dental work under other providers. And it’s painful and unnerving, trying to be still and a good patient. It says a lot , in just that I never dred or mind, going to see Dr Powell and his staff!! I normally dred an upcoming dental visit , because I have seen so many types of dental providers through the years, in an attempt to care for , protect, and save my teeth! Dr Simmons (Tuscaloosa VA), and Dr Powell, have been instrumental in me receiving GREAT dental care !! And I appreciate it more than mere words could ever express!

As always, I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Thomas. Grace, the assistant on my recent procedure was also wonderful. In fact, the entire staff is warm, kind, sensitive to what the patients are going through, while still remaining professional. No one wants or enjoys a root canal, but they certainly make the experience as pleasant as is possible.

My first experience with Birmingham was exceptional. With being a little nervous about my procedure and being new to the practice, I can say each staff member treated me with care, respect and the utmost dignity. The compassion and comfort of this office was unparallel than any establishment I’ve dealt with. I was offered plush amenities, that made my visit most desirable. From blankets, pillows and beverage, to astounding views in suites, I could not have asked for a better overall experience. You guys cared when it was needed the most.
